House and Senate candidates have reported their post-election cash balances and amount raised through November 30th. See how Republicans and Democrats compare this year and in past election cycles.



Source: VPAP analysis of campaign finance disclosures filed with the Virginia Department of Elections. All dollar amounts for past cycles have been adjusted for inflation to reflect value in current dollars.

Methodology: This visual looks at the four most recent election cycles with all 140 General Assembly seats on the ballot. Amount raised includes the entire election cycle since the previous election. For the House of Delegates this is January 1st of the year before the election through the post-election report of the election year. For the Virginia Senate amount raised covers January 1st three years before the election through November 30th of the election year. The dollar amounts exclude transfers between committees controlled by the same candidate and money raised in special elections. Cash on hand as of November 30th in election year.
